To reform or not reform............... There is no question.

It happens to most bands, 10 years after you broke up, The days working in a cafe or as a carpenter are getting you down - Perfect solution, "Let's get back together ! "

It works for some but not for others. Sometimes there is just too much hidden hatred to ever forgive. I would think the girls from Girlfriend would find it hard to forgive Robyn Lau for going solo and forcing them to be called "GF4", even though they pass each other most days working in the Westfield food court. After a sexed up image with the single "Sooner or later", their tween audience couldn't deal with if the new name was just that or if GF4 was a sexual disease. - useless fact GF4 were the first band to have an interactive cd single.

But let's not give Girlfriend idea's, because i am sure everyone would just assume it was The Chantoozies wanting some more pokies money.

When bands reform sometimes it works, Take That, NKOTB and The Stone Roses and sometimes it doesn't. S Club 7's poor effort as S Club 3 as well as East 17's shows grabbed you more by the nostalgic part of the heart than the credible one.  If a band feels they need to write new songs before the reformation is done, think again. very few of us want it. Steps recent arena tour fooled them into thinking they should release an album of new material. Thankfully the album flopped and Claire, H and gang now understand to only perform the hits during summer festivals and hotel openings.

So who do we want to reform? I have a few, but i am sure not sure everyone will agree.

1. Transvision vamp - My brother got me into this band, Pop Art was pop/punk brilliance and Wendy James was the ultimate front woman. Confident yet vulnerable and with enough power to keep teenage boys in their bedrooms for hours. I had the pleasure of meeting the band a few times and Wendy is one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. After the poor showing during their 'Bubbles of Babble' tour in 91 it would be amazing to see them rock now.

2. Indecent Obsession - David Dixon, Michael Szumowski, Andrew Coyne, Daryl Sims and Jo Beth Taylor were my guilty pleasure from 1989 through to even now. I had such a ball going to Ballarat and beyond to see them live. Surprisingly they never really had massive chart success in Australia and this was in a time before illegal downloading. I know a few people who would be first in line for the reformation gigs. How good would it be to see "Say goodbye" live on a stage again. Do it for Molly boys.

3. Spice Girls - Everybody loves the Spicies, Australia never got to experience them live. Since they broke up, Autotuners have been looking for work. While they get the occasional work in the UK during the 5ive and Atomic kitten reunions, a spice girls world tour would be the permanent position they are looking for. Imagine the fun of seeing Mel B throwing the pearls on stage waiting for Geri to have a showgirls moment. Sadly this will probably never happen.

So there is a lesson in this. if you are going to reform your band. Do it for the right reasons. Money, Money & Money. Don't come up with "we wanted to say goodbye to the fans" scenario. We know you want money just be honest and we will enjoy the show, Well almost as much as you hate being onstage with the person who slept with your girlfriend or had the better solo career.
